Measure chest width and length on a garment laid flatAB

Measure the garment, laid flat.

  1. Lay it flat.Use a similar garment that fits you well. Smooth it out without stretching the fabric.
  2. A / Chest widthMeasure straight across from armpit to armpit. This is the flat width, not the full chest circumference.
  3. B / LengthMeasure from the highest shoulder point next to the neck to the bottom hem.
  4. Compare your design.Use the chart for that specific garment and the same unit of measurement.

Compare like with like: use a similar cut and follow the measurements listed for your garment.
AWAY has raglan sleeves and its chart does not list shoulder width. Sleeve measurements differ between the two jerseys.
